Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo


Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo, age 75, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, February 9, 2013.  A resident of Washington, PA, he also resided in Ormond Beach, FL after retirement. Bart was born on November 28, 1937 in Pittsburgh, and is the son of the late Regis and Margaret Piccardo.

Bart married the love of his life on September 24, 1960, the late Patricia Piccardo. He is survived by two loving daughters: Lisa and son-in-law Dwayne Coneeny of East Dover, Vermont and Robin and son-in-law Ted Grimm of Washington, PA; his adored grandsons Shawn Patrick Grimm and Tyler Shane Grimm both of Washington PA, sister Louella Barno of Elizabeth, PA and his grand dogs Sierra, Bandit, Roxy, and Waylynn.  He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Bart was a US Marine Veteran and served during the Korean War. He loved to hunt and fish and was a talented billiard player and ballroom dancer. Most of all he cherished spending time with his grandsons, Shawn and Tyler.  Bart will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to gather for at Cremation & Funeral Care by Danielle Andy Belusko, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546, on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 9:00AM until time of Memorial Service at 10:00 AM.  A funeral procession will follow to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice at www.odsyhealth.com or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org .     I am very sorry to hear that your Dad has passed. I have such fond memories of Bart. I spent alot of time at Robins house when we were kids and He was truely a funny loving Husband and Father. Pat, Robins Mother was a wonderful woman also. They are both missed. I feel that they are together now and happy with no pain or strife. I am praying and thinking of all of you that miss him.
